This Privacy Policy explains how PLONKER collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the PLONKER website, web applications, mobile web views, prototypes, and related services.
1. Who we are
PLONKER is an alcohol product-discovery and price-comparison service for users who are legally allowed to view alcohol-related content. Contact us at plonker.admin@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use PLONKER, we may collect:
- Age confirmation status, so alcohol-related content is only shown after confirmation.
- Location information, if you choose to use current location or manually set a location.
- Basic site analytics, such as page visits, app version, device viewport type, category selections, product opens, directions clicks, listing clicks, search query length, selected location method, and approximate rounded location where relevant.
- Technical information needed to run the service, such as browser requests, server logs, and error logs.
- Information you choose to send us, such as feedback, store corrections, or product corrections.
3. Location information
PLONKER needs a location to show nearby stores and relevant deals. You can choose to use your browser's current location or set a location manually.
For analytics, we do not store exact GPS coordinates or exact typed addresses. Where coordinates are used for analytics, they are rounded before saving so they only indicate an approximate area.
4. Search information
PLONKER may record that a search occurred and the length of the search text. We do not store the raw text typed into the product search box in the current analytics system.
5. Analytics
PLONKER uses lightweight first-party analytics to understand how the service is used and to improve the product. Analytics may help us understand which version of the site is used, which categories are selected, which products are opened, whether directions or listing links are clicked, and whether location setup succeeds or fails.
These analytics are used for product improvement, debugging, performance review, and launch planning. They are not intended to identify individual users.
6. How we use information
We may use information to:
- show nearby stores and relevant product comparisons;
- operate and improve PLONKER;
- debug errors, failed scrapes, and broken user flows;
- measure whether users are finding useful products;
- maintain security and prevent misuse;

7. Third-party websites
PLONKER links to retailer websites, map directions, and product listings. Those third-party websites have their own privacy policies and practices. PLONKER is not responsible for how third-party websites collect or use information after you leave PLONKER.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. During prototype development, some analytics and admin data may be stored in local files used by the PLONKER admin system.
9. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information where needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect PLONKER or users, investigate misuse, or work with service providers under appropriate safeguards.
10. Your choices
You can choose not to provide browser location. If you do not provide location, PLONKER may ask you to set a location manually before showing deals. You can contact us to ask about privacy, correction, or deletion requests.
